OMG is Not a Phrase!

I was in the supermarket the other day, and I heard a girl say, and I quote, "I am in OMG trigonometry." I had to stop and think if they offered "OMG trig" in my day, until I realized that she was using "text talk".
Am I the only one who is completely annoyed by this? I don't really mind "FYI" because "for your information" is 6 syllables. We are an abrubt people, so I can understand the need for expedience. But, "OMG" takes the same amount of effort as "Oh my God".
Okay, I'll say it, I hate "text talk". I don't even text "LOL", because it takes a lot to make me "LNOLBSTM" (laugh, not out loud, but silently to myself), so "LOL" is a lie, like, 99% of the time. In fact, I rarely text in "text", unless I am really in a hurry.
You should also know that I am a hurried person, as a general rule, so I would have every right to destroy the language, if I saw fit. I could do it now, if I wanted. I just have fond feelings for words that are not abbreviated, or made into acronyms. I have a fondness for words, period.
I feel better. I am going to air out my brain.

for the most part i totally agree. When I'm chatting to my friends online or texting then ill say 'u' instead of 'you' and i often leave the last letter off the end of words, actually 'hav' 'jus' are the only ones i can think of at the moment. Although I do use 'lol.' I never ever speak in text. I don't understand why people write 'woz' instead of 'was' or things like that, because its the same number of letters, its not even hurried. The one that gets me the most is when people say 'soz' instead of sorry. That makes me SO angry. You've done something wrong and you can't even be bothered to type/speak three extra letters. What is the matter with these people!!!
Sorry for the ranting on your hub, but there are so few people that agree/care!!
p.s. I'm so going to start using "LNOLBSTM" !!
